Playing Hooky From Hockey

I’ve missed about a weeks worth of hockey so far.

I may or may not be having withdrawals.

All you frequent flyers out there or those of you who are well versed in airport codes will know by looking at the above picture where I’ve trotted off to.

I’m not in Kansas anymore…or Michgian, haven’t been since last Thursday.

That dark area in this horrible photo above is the Pacific.

How bout now?

Nope, not Mars.

I’m in the Palm Springs area.  Joshua Tree actually.  It’s a town north of there up in the high desert.

They had snow right before I arrived.  Course it vanished before I could get here.

Don’t get too envious…it’s not exactly warm here.  Highs in the mid to upper 60’s.  Lows…finger freezing cold even with gloves on.

I’m out here for a week visiting my sister and her family and my Grandmother too who’s just a few miles down the road.

Tomorrow is my 43rd birthday.  I think being with this cutie pie might lessen any sting.

*All photos are SOCC (straight out camera captures). I left the laptop and my crutch, a.k.a. Photoshop, at home.

  1. Dee,
Happy Birthday! Oh to be 43 again! It is a great time in your life, enjoy it.

These where my guesses (and I’m not a frequent flier) Palm Springs, Los Angeles and Orange County (not sure about that one). Definitely didn’t guess your final destination. Enjoy your visit

  2. I got it and I didn’t even have to look them up!

    PSP = Palm Springs
    LAX – Los Angelas
    ORD – Chicago O’Hare

Sounds like a good time. I’ve never been to Joshua Tree. Can’t wait to see more photos
