Billy Speaks

What do you think?

I’m in love with this camera.  And yah, totally loving what Billy’s got to say.

By the way you’ll notice I’m not in Michigan.  I’ve been ranch sitting for some friends out west here.  It’s been….amazing, tranquil, delightful, soothing and…and…and!

Below is the original of the one above (before I put it through an editing program) and is straight from the negative…

Not too bad for a 75+ year old camera huh?!

Course, I totally have some practicing to do.  My aperture selection amounts to three settings:  8.8, 11 and 16.  The shutter speed is what it is, as they say.  And I think, according to some research via the internet, it would be about 1/30th to 1/50th of a second.

More “Billy-talk” sometime down the road!

  1. Beautiful pictures – both of them! I’m so glad Billy is functional…. and glad you’re enjoying ranch-sitting. Tough job, but somebody’s gotta do it, right?

  2. How great that old camera still cranks out beautiful – no – GORGEOUS – photos. That’s wonderful and it sounds like you’re enjoying babysitting that ranch out west. Have fun…relax…obviously I don’t have to say “enjoy the views” – – – – you already are!
