Bowl of Soul

Bowl of Soul

These are two North Idaho “Bowl’s of Soul”.

What’s in a “Bowl of Soul”?  I think there’s a fair amount of whipped cream, a bunch’a cinnamon, some nutmeg, a little bit of chocolate and of course good strong coffee.  Super, to-die-for yummy.

BOS = Good

*The real deal recipe is listed in the comments below.  Thanks to my better than average ColOmbian friend Maria who, while in “our” coffee place the other day, asked and the recipe was freely given.  I love those people and her too.  Enjoy!

  2. I wonder if they have BOSs in heaven? That has got to be where the recipe came from! Where you at happy hour–two for one?? I’m sure you would never find them in Alexandria. How far west of the Mississippi do you think I would have to travel to enjoy one?

  5. For you and ONLY you Roy!
    – a bit of brewed coffee
    – 2 shots of spresso
    – mexican chocolate powder ( or mexican hot chocolate)… don’t ask what this is, IDK-
    – add mix to milk before frothing, then blend other igredients in
    – and of course a mouth watering amount of home made whipped cream right on the rim
    – sprinkle cinamon and nutmeg when finished.

    DISCLAIMER- Don’t expect the taste of this beverage to be like the original BOS, as this indulgence only tastes BEST in the company of friends, good friends…and BESTEST near Idaho mountains! Just sayin’…

    love ya,
    the ColOmbian!

        1. Well…no, but there was a huge dollop of it. It was a milk base I believe. A person could choose whole, 2%, nonfat or soy. Wish you could have tasted it. You probably would have known instantly. I’m no good at that sort of thing!
